Case studies

SEO case studies.

These SEO case studies and business turnarounds come from real companies. In each one, the real problem wasn’t the obvious one, or not the only one. Each one shows the problem, what we changed, and what happened, with the source for every number.

The pattern

What these SEO case studies have in common

The salon didn’t need more ads. When COVID emptied the offices it depended on, it needed a whole new way to make money. The tour company was great at tours, but hard to find online and hard to book. The ad-tech company had plenty of leads. What it didn’t have was buyers who understood what they were paying for.

Each time, the real problem was hiding behind the obvious one. That’s what we look for first, and then we roll up our sleeves and fix it.

How we report results in our SEO case studies

  • Numbers come from third parties where possible: Square, Salon Today, Inc., Deloitte, and the Courier-Journal, linked on each case study.
  • Search results are shown as dated screenshots, because rankings and AI answers change.
  • Our role is stated plainly on every case study: client engagement, or a company Sean ran or co-founded.

Questions

About our SEO case studies.

Are these SEO case studies from real clients?

Yes. Louisville Historic Tours is a client engagement. TRIM NuLu and El Toro are companies Sean ran or co-founded, and every case study says which is which.

How long did the SEO results take?

It depends on the business and the competition. For Louisville Historic Tours, the new website was the top Google result for “ghost tour louisville” about 12 weeks after launch.

Can you get results like these for my business?

Every business is different, so we start by finding what is really holding yours back. It begins with a free 20-minute call. After it, we’ll recommend either a project quote or the $1,500 audit.

Do you only work with businesses in Louisville?

No. All three of these companies are based in Louisville, but we work with businesses anywhere, and most of the work is done remotely.

Your business

What is holding your business back?

Every one of these SEO case studies started with finding what was really wrong. For your business, it starts with a free conversation with Sean. Then we agree on the right next step: a written quote, or the $1,500 audit if your current site needs checking first.
